Location:

One Fanthorpe Street is situated just off the Lower Richmond Road it is approximately 10 minutes walk form Putney Bridge itself – the start of  “The Boat Race”

Rail :

Putney Rail Station is located at the end of Putney High Street close to the junction with the Upper Richmond Road.

South West Trains take about 15 minutes from Putney Rail Station to Waterloo Rail Station.

We are also conveniently located for Barnes Rail Station, which connects with the 265 Bus, and passes close to our home. There are fast links to Clapham Junction Rail Station and thence to Gatwick Airport.

Transport for London ( TFL) Travel and Oyster Cards:

Travel and Oyster cards are available from London Underground Stations and newsagents such as the Chocolate Box, 131 Lower Richmond Road. They will be able to advise you on suitable tickets for your needs .

 

Tube :

The tube ( London Underground) is usually a reliable way of getting from Putney Bridge Station to locations around London. Putney Bridge Station is on the District Line about 10 minutes from Earls Court Station, you will need to select a WIMBLEDON train. In addition to Putney Bridge Underground Station there is East Putney Underground Station.

 

Buses  :

A combination of the 22 Bus and the Night Bus 22  provides a round the clock service from close to our front door (at the end of Fanthorpe Street)  to central London, and return. Many of our guests who are on holiday make extensive use of the 22 Bus . Off peak, the journey to Central London takes a little over half an hour – peak times are less predictable but convenient. The 22 Bus routing is from  Putney Common along the Lower Richmond Road  through Chelsea and West  London to Piccadilly Circus– the hub of London’s West End  for Shops, Theatres, Art Galleries, Cinemas and Restaurants etc.
The Night Bus 22 runs from Piccadilly Circus through  West London and Fulham then along the Lower Richmond Road passing the end of Fanthorpe Street and onto Richmond.
The 265 Bus runs from Putney Bridge Underground Station over Putney Bridge turning right, in a westerly direction onto the Lower Richmond Road, passing close to
1 Fanthorpe Street and thence onto Tolworth via the A3.
The 485 runs between Hammersmith Broadway Bus Station and Wandsworth, via the Lower Richmond Road.
Additionally there are a wealth of bus connections from Putney Bridge, its Underground Station, Putney High Street and its Railway Station..

River Bus:

There is a commuter service, by river, from Putney Pier, on the Thames, to Central London. It is also convenient for the Chelsea Flower Show

Ferry Boats:

Ferry Boats call at Putney Pier in the summer.
